Dear Oak Grove School Alumni Friends,

The above quote by Krishnamurti from a talk at UC Berkeley is one that fits the intent of this letter.

In these financially uncertain times we are receiving such important reminders of our own life choices. Who and what are we investing in, and why? Events come and go but I am deeply grateful for K’s teachings, the foundation, the schools and all the people that come, especially the children. I am comforted in knowing my time and money have been soundly invested; Oak Grove School remains an oasis for young minds to flourish and grow.

Yet as a school we are always managing with limited resources. Securing the continued presence of our school and community is more challenging and more vital than ever. For that reason, as a parent of several alumni and a financial supporter of our school, I am asking you to commune with me, and make a financial pledge of support in our First Annual Alumni Pledge Drive.

With an open heart and an open mind, solidly connected, please ask yourself deeply: how available am I willing to be? How much money can I contribute annually? Remember, there is no financial risk connected with this investment; we are here, now. Every dollar we share goes 100% into the school we have chosen to teach our children. What is received is deeply rich - for LIFE, not temporary or speculative. The ground is fertile, the plantings are strong, the number growing, the harvest assured.

We are relying on you the same way you relied on us. Let’s give back - that is the sacred duty of the harvest. Your donation will water the seeds, allowing the next generation to flower.
